Born in Shenzhen, China. Currently studying at Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA. Cherry Lu grew up studying visual art, and has only started to sing traditional Chinese opera during her early teenage years. She had performed on Chinese National TV. After few years of singing in the world renown Shenzhen teenage choir and performing along with different orchestras, she moved to US at the age of 13 to learn more about the world, the art, and the music.
Cherry Lu had just begun her musical journey by studying Electronic Production & Design, Contemporary Writing & Production in college. After diving into music productions and compositions for years, she has now found her best strength in both songwriting and vocal performance. She has the courage and the curiosity to try out everything. Her art is not bounded by only music, she also has an incredibly strong vision for her own work, as a result of many years of practicing in both photography and painting.
Cherry Lu is a young artist who firmly believes in the power of focus, whilst forever stay hungry to new knowledge. She has also earned a certificate as a Senior Psychotherapist (Chinese Academy of Management Science) after suffering from mental health issue for almost eight years. She never gave up on living and she will continue to explore her relationship with the world, the art, and the music.
